The Little Red Truck is a non-profit organization that provides home furniture and supplies to individuals and families transitioning from homelessness to housing. Referrals are accepted only from agencies that have signed a Partnership Agreement with The Little Red Truck. Three forms are required for the referral to be considered. The Agency Referral Form must be completed by the referring agency, while the Furniture and Home Supplies Request Form and the Participant Agreement Form must be completed by the participant. All three forms must be submitted to be processed.
The Little Red Truck offers donated, recycled, and repurposed household furnishings and home supplies through Welcome Kits. These Welcome Home Kits contain essential kitchen and bathroom items, such as dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and towels.
Participants who receive post placement support services may receive both furniture and a Welcome Home Kit.
Participants without post-placement support can receive a Welcome Home Kit. After living in their new home for two weeks, participants should call TLRT to request essential furniture.
